B S Tomar

Dr B S Tomar is an expert in nuclear and radiochemistry, radiation detection and measurement, and non-destructive assay of nuclear materials. He has published over 230 research papers in international journals and co-edited a book titled ‘Nuclear Fuel Cycle’ published by Springer. He superannuated as Distinguished Scientist and Director, Radiochemistry and Isotope Group, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, in December 2017 and later served as Raja Ramanna Fellow, DAE, during 2018-2021. Dr. Tomar was a visiting Professor to Technical University, Delft, Netherlands during 2007-2008. He was invited by the International Atomic Anergy Agency (IAEA) to serve as an expert on Radiation Detection and Measurement and as a member of the Standing Advisory Group on Safeguards Implementation (SAGSI) of IAEA.
